The Nile Dialogue Platform, a peace advocacy organization, has given Hashtag Uganda Reading space to operate in a partnership deal that was signed early August in Kampala.
The online book trend has now shifted from Mutungo-Biina to Muyenga, specifically on Plot 4345, Zzimwe Road.
Before the move, Nile Dialogue platform had hosted several of the main UgandaReading events including the inauguration of the Board of Directors that happened recently.
Part of the memorandum of understanding, signed by #UgandaReading’s chief volunteer Dorcus Magoba, and the NDP executive director Lokman Cinar read,
«As Nile Dialogue Platform we understand that the reading culture helps in the development of individuals and the development of individuals helps in the social development of the society».
A campaign for book donation is being launched soon, to support the establishment of the #UgandaReading library, a facility that will take up much of the space in their new office.
This agreement is a year long, as NDP hopes to continue promoting dialogue and peaceful empowerment of individuals through reading.
